In addition to standard blood work, I often utilise functional testing depending on client presentation, budget and needs. A few of the functional tests I like to work with on a regular basis include:

• Gut Microbiome Testing: Useful for chronic unexplained gut issues, skin issues, some hormonal presentations, auto-immune conditions.

• SIBO testing: Useful for identifying prescence of methane and hydrogen producing microbrobes in the small intestine, linked to chronic upper digestive issues.

• Hormone Testing: Dried Urine Hormone Testing - Includes hormones and metabolites, prescence of endocrine disrupting chemicals, indicators of metabolic pathways, regulatory and stress hormone levels. Useful to gain a comprehensive insight into hormonal and nuerotransmitter metabolism, clearance and disruptive pathways.

• Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis: Analysis of heavy metals and nutritional mineral stores. Useful for certain presentations such as thyroid issues and anxiety, used as an indicator of tissue stores of certain minerals, heavy metal burden, capacity to detoxify and implicated pathways.
